rainy day

eliot likes to play alphababy, a computer game that gives me enough time to use the bathroom, ALONE. when you hit any key a picture pops up and the computer tells you what it is. ryan found this picture and we labeled it nasty dog, for obvious reasons. the other day we were out for a walk and saw a collie, not dressed like yoda, eliot yells na-see dog. the lady walking the dog stops and says "what did she say? i think she just said lassie dog, your daughter is so smart"

no knead bread

this is amazing bread, if you live in a small apartment and don't have the room to make bread or you don't have the time to make bread this is for you. ryan and i have been making it for a few months now and can't get enough. the key to adding the water is to pour it in a slow steady stream and stir at the same time. this bread is also best when using bread flour.

I also recommend Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything. I picked this book up at half price and it was well worth it. I love Mark Bittman, his recipes are simple yet amazing.

puddle jumper

spring is finally here. eliot is having all kinds of fun in the puddles and mud. she points out all the airplanes and buses as they go by. olivier loves the spring too, we don't have to constantly keep him covered. he loves the warm sun, and sicks his arms out from the bjorn to feel the fresh air. i'm so excited for summer.
